The Basic Steps in Making Money with Google AdWords and ClickBank
Making money with Google AdWords combined with the affiliate program from ClickBank is certainly possible. What’s more, after the initial setup, money will continue to roll in almost automatically, with only little maintenance and monitoring required. What follows is a simple outline of the various steps of the entire process.
The two things that you would need to begin would, of course, be one, an account on Google AdWords, at http://adwords.google.com. The second would be an affiliate account by signing up at ClickBank at http://www.clickbank.com.
At ClickBank’s homepage, you will see a link named “Promote Products”, somewhere at the right area of the main page. This leads to another page that indexes all of the products currently being sold through ClickBank, along with short descriptions and, most importantly, affiliate percentages. That is, this would be the percent commission or earning that you, as one of the affiliates, would be making.
Choose a product that seems profitable or easy to promote then generate your personal promotion link as an affiliate. Copy this URL and keep it somewhere safe, like a text editor window.
Then it would be time for some product research. Visit the primary sales page to gather information about your chosen product, focusing on its benefits and advantages that can be used in ad copy.
When writing the AdWords ad itself, a format that seems to have worked for a lot of people is simple. The first line or the heading should be in question form, while the second line contains a relevant feature of the product being advertised. The next line, the third one, would then mention a benefit, and the final fourth line contains the URL of the product’s sales page.
Once the ad is written and you have submitted it, having selected the proper budget, it usually begins showing within Google’s network in ten minutes or so.
Now, AdWords only charges you whenever someone clicks on your Google ad. This charge will depend on your bid amount for that particular keyword. So, your expenses depend on the amount of traffic you get. To offset this, you would need to get your ClickBank commission, from searchers who click through your ad and then purchase the product. This is the basic dynamic: get traffic through AdWords, convert traffic into sales, and hence, commission earnings through the various ClickBank affiliates.
This simple process would be sufficient for your first few campaigns, as you are just beginning to get the feel for online marketing. As time goes on, you would need to analyze the results of your different campaigns in order to figure out what works and what does not to really start making money with Google AdWords.
